Time for review…

            Krusell’s brand new Active line is a bold step in a different direction for Krusell. Krusell has always been known for their superiority in leather cases for mobile phones and PDAs, so when I first found out that they would be introducing a new line that would not be leather I was a little apprehensive.

            But rest assured, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I have been a proud owner of a black Razr since it came out. The Razr by itself is a work of art, and is something that should definitely not covered up by a plain, bulky case. But drop it once, and the Razr becomes many different little Razrs. Krusell was able to create a case that is quite stream-lined, functional, yet pretty cool looking.

            First off, the material: This is a synthetic rubber material that upon first glance looks cheap, but once you get your hands on it and feel the gripping texture of the rubber, the case and the phone feel safe in your hands. The grey pipings down the front of the case give it that sporty look that Krusell was going after.

How about the fitting of the case? There is a substantial amount of effort that needs to be put into getting the phone in the case. But once it is in there, it fits like a dream, and looks like it belonged there the entire time. There is an instruction booklet that comes along with it, but real men & a hammer don’t need instructions (just kidding).

The plastic cutout on the front, when the phone is closed is great for screening calls. All cut-outs line up perfectly. There is even a mesh screen for the speaker-phone in the back. The best part is the case does not get in the way of the camera, like a lot of other cases for flip phones. When the phone is opened there is a plastic cover over the keys too keep the phone in. This feature is nice although, for some reason, it doesn’t cover the top to menu bars.

            The case also comes packaged with a Spring Clip, and although Krusell has numerous other clips, this clip does the job, and holds tight to whatever you clip it to.

            In conclusion, this case looks great for the razor, and doesn’t turn it into another hideous phone on your hip. The superior protection of the case makes your Razr nearly invincible to most everyday drops. Paired with Krusell’s lifetime warranty & their one-of-a-kind Multidapt® system you can’t go wrong.
