Krusell’s Multidapt®
Vortex Clip
K-B58401
Vortex
is the new name for Krusell’s latest Multidapt clip, a newly
designed clip that gives the user the ability to ratchet the
positioning into eight locked positions of suspension.
First it’s important
to explain how Krusell’s suspension system works.
Krusell has designed and patented what they call the Multidapt®
system, a female device that is strategically placed on the back of
each of Krusell’s cases. This
Multidapt® system either accepts a button to suspend a device freely
on your waist (the buttons are included with every swiveling clip(s)),
or has rails to accept a standard non swiveling clip.
Let’s take a closer look at the Vortex clip!

Obviously, the main designed feature with Vortex
is its ability to ratchet into eight different positions, but what
makes this clip so unique is its design. I, for one, have seen the
different ratcheting clips from other manufacturers and they work
great for a few applications, but after a while the teeth on the
buttons crack or break, leaving you without a clip. The ratcheting
clip “Vortex” by Krusell is made differently, in that the
mechanism is internal, without any teeth to break or crack… truly a
great design.
My one and only minor complaint is that it is a little hard to ratchet into each of
the different positions. On the positive side of that problem, it goes
to show the amount of effort Krusell went into in designing a quality
clip that will last the lifetime of your phone and beyond.

Recap:
- Aesthetically the clip is very slick and the tapered
curvature is truly unique giving this clip a very cool hip design.
- Gripping action is very nice, could have been made a
bit tighter, but we rated the clip very high for its ability to
either attach to a belt, pocket or the waist of a pair of pants.
- Remove-ability is made very easy with Krusell’s
Multidapt system. By
sticking a pen into the front of the clip and sliding the clip
down, you’re able to interchange clips with ease.
- Quality is by far spectacular!
No teeth to break or crack because it’s all internal.
We have always loved
Krusell’s Spring
Clip for its simplicity and great usability, but now for those of
you who need a ratcheting clip; here it is…Vortex
by Krusell.
